Ember is a drop-dead gorgeous Las Vegas escort. He notices Alejandro in some of the classes he teaches at his side business—a yoga studio. Then, color-blind Alejandro further captures Ember’s attention when he’s blinded by a quick change in light and needs Ember’s help at a club. What Ember doesn’t expect is the way Alejandro touches his heart.
Alejandro never intended to develop feelings for Ember. He’s in Las Vegas for a year to sow some wild oats. But Alejandro quickly sees more in Ember when he sets out to make some of Alejandro’s dreams come true—including a trip to the Grand Canyon and the beaches of LA. Alejandro’s wild oats could turn into something memorable.

Ember knows keeping his escort job from Alejandro isn’t the right thing to do, but he wants to be liked for who he is. Alejandro keeps his own secrets for the same reason. But Alejandro’s family obligations, along with Ember’s profession, could make it impossible for the two of them to stay together—unless they can figure out how to make the most of the gifts they’ve been given.

“You know I really don’t like places like this,” Alejandro said as he and Ember joined the rest of Ember’s friends at the club.  The flashing lights and sudden flashes of brightness always made him uneasy.  His colorblindness sometimes left him susceptible to changes in lighting in general, flashing lights in particular made it hard for him to see sometimes.
“I know,” Ember whispered and tugged him a little closer.  “But we’re only back for a few days and this is where the guys are meeting.  It’s their business to check out new places.”  Ember leaned a little close, probably so he wouldn’t have to yell.  “We can go back to the hotel.”
“No.  I get one night of freedom and I don’t want to waste it.”  Alejandro held Ember’s had as they made their way through the milling throngs of guys and around the dance floor that seemed to be almost orgiastic with the amount of flesh on display.
“You made it,” Hunter said with a huge grin and engulfed them both in a hug.  His partner Grant did the same before making room next to them.
“How was the trip?’  Grant yelled over the din.
“Long and tiring.”  Flying for hours and the severe time change took so much out of them.  It felt like it should be mid-morning and that he’d completely lost a day.
“The rest of the guys are going to be here in a few minutes.  Do you want dance before the place gets too busy?  Grant and I were going to give it a spin.”
Alejandro turned to Ember.  Being able to dance with him always held a great appeal.  At home they were careful to remain close, but not to close.  It was always a delicate balance.  “Yeah, let’s dance.”
“You sure?”  Ember said and Alejandro smiled and nodded.
“I’ll be all right.”  He held Ember’s and as they got up from the table.  When they reached the edge of the dance floor, Ember gathered him into his arms and they began to move.
God he loved this.  Ember was always so graceful and his movements fluid and sensual.  Heat began to build inside and Alejandro let go of everything but Ember and how he made him feel.  The dance floor was packed and others jostled around them.
A guy bumped into him hard and Alejandro nearly tripped.  Falling in this many people could be dangerous.  “Let’s go back to the table,” Ember whispered and Alejandro nodded, taking Ember’s hand.    He was jostled again and just ahead a young man stumbled into him.  Ember’s hand slipped from his.  Alejandro looked up to try to see where he’d gone and caught one of the strobe lights right in the face.  He closed his eyes and stood still, blinded and afraid to move.
A pair of strong arms wrapped around his waist and for a split second he relaxed.  “I’ve got you.”  The problem was, the man wasn’t Ember.
