With the Wolf Council after her, Amber is on the run. Leaving Blake behind, her true love, she’s never been in one place long enough to make any other friends and when she actually meets Giovana, Amber is happy to have a friend, but leery.  With good reason..

She sucked in a quick breath when Blake grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms. His mouth was hers, instantly causing her blood to run hot.
When he lifted his head, his breathing was as unsteady as hers. Looking into her eyes, he stroked her face. For the first time in her eighteen years, Amber felt her wolf. It slammed against her insides wanting out, responding to his wolf’s closeness.
His eyes flashed yellow in response.
She stared up at him, not sure what to do next. He’d never kissed her before. In fact, she’d never kissed anyone. Her eyes went to his soft, moist lips as warmth spread through her body.
When his head dipped again, Amber closed her eyes and allowed him to kiss her.
Their tongues met in a silent dance, slipping and sliding against the velvety texture of one another. Pleasure swarmed through her body.
One hand spread out across her lower back, holding her to him. The other slid up her back, along her neck and into her hair. His attraction to her was obvious when he pressed closer.
She could feel him against her belly and her body responded with an excited shiver. Without another thought, Amber wrapped her arms around his neck. Standing on tiptoe, she returned his passionate kiss. She had often wondered how it would feel to run her hands along his strong shoulders and through his dark, thick hair. Wanting to feel more of him, she ran her hands down his muscular back. At her touch, she heard him groan as he ended the kiss all too soon. When Blake lifted his head they stared into one another’s glazed eyes, both speechless as to what had just happened.
