My Rating:

Jewel has always been able to get the guy she wanted. The starting jock on the football team, the team captain on the basketball team, and the lead swimmer on the swim team. Problem is, she didn't find them the least bit exciting. Was she cold or a she-wolf for guys? Colin thought so, and he'd do anything to bring her down a peg or two. When these two collide on the sandy beach during their mixed up summer vacation, sparks fly, making this a summer neither will forget.
This is a great, quick and easy read. I loved how Jewel and Collin’s relationship grew slowly. In most books the couples seem to fall in love too quickly. This one was paced a lot slower and was more realistic.

There is usually a lot of drama around teenage girls and that gets a little frustrating to read. I liked how the author had Jewel handle her emotions of having parents who were not there for her. Being pretty and chased by all the boys in school wanting only one thing from her, she has her own way of dealing with them which is amusing.

Collin is just adorable and handles his own emotional baggage in his own way. He and Jewel is the perfect young couple who are meant to be together and were lucky enough to find one another early in life.

The author did a great job keeping the plot moving and wrapped it up at a nice pace for being a short story. This is book two in the series and I love that it is a stand-alone and can be read in any order.
